KnowledgeTech's Microsoft Practice is dedicated to providing comprehensive application development, integration, and business productivity solutions utilizing Microsoft products and technologies.
As well as providing these custom solutions to medium and large sized organizations, the group also works closely with the other KnowledgeTech Specialty Practices to provide complimentary vertical Microsoft based healthcare and energy & utilities solutions. The practice’s core focus areas are each led by a Senior Architect with many years of experience and practical implementation knowledge within their area of responsibility.
Our Application Development & Integration team focuses on Microsoft based solutions in the areas of business intelligence, service-oriented architecture (SOA), application integration, business process, data management, and .NET based custom development.
Our Business Productivity team works on the challenges of today’s information-based economy and workplace. Combining KnowledgeTech’s consultants, with Microsoft’s products, the team provides solutions in the areas of enterprise content management, enterprise search, business intelligence, collaboration software, and unified communications that can help meet the challenges placed on today’s Information Worker.
In support of our Microsoft based service offerings we are a Microsoft Gold partner and K2 partner. Within Microsoft’s Partner Program, Gold Certified Partners represent the highest level of competence and expertise with Microsoft technologies, and have the closest working relationship with Microsoft.
In spite of the technical expertise demonstrated above, KnowledgeTech understands that business success is not necessarily a direct result of IT investment. To be of value to an organization we must provide more that just our deep experience in systems development and project management. We accept our responsibility to ensure effective use of our client’s capital investment in IT.
As a partner to our client, we look for areas of opportunity in the business landscape. We help identify where the organization is best positioned to take advantage of its strengths—its people, existing infrastructure and business processes. We understand that technology should measure its value in parallel to the business value it provides; and that real solutions require technology that is appropriate to the organization.
A sample of recent projects where the appropriate use of technology by the Microsoft Practice has resulted in relevant business solutions include: a Forecasting Information System for an Energy & Utility company, a Transaction and Reconciliation Application for a Financial Services organization, a HL7 audit and reporting application for a healthcare authority, and a custom application to support the North American operations of a leading parking services provider.
