Management Team

	Al Ytsma Partner Al has over 25 years of information technology experience in North America. He is an accomplished Information Technology Management Consultant with significant experience in the utilities, energy and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining KnowledgeTech, Al was a Corporate Vice President with Sierra Systems Group Inc.; before that he was Sierra’s Vancouver Branch Manager. Al is actively involved in the marketing and delivery of solutions to KnowledgeTech customers, managing several key accounts and business partner relationships.
	Gerry Parkinson Partner Gerry is a Professional Engineer with 27 years of engineering and management experience, including a number of operational and senior management roles with Westcoast Energy. He has extensive experience in operations management, management strategy, organizational change and the strategic use of technology in large enterprises. Gerry is actively involved in the delivery of solutions to KnowledgeTech customers as well as managing the overall Finance and HR roles at KnowledgeTech.
	Karel ten Hoope Partner Karel has over 20 years of information technology experience. As the founder of KnowledgeTech in 1993, Karel was directly responsible for establishing KTC’s excellent reputation. In his role as CTO, he is responsible for recommending and implementing technology solutions for our customers, ensuring our consultants have the skills required to deliver high quality solutions based on our recommended technology.
	Kate Hodges Alberta Branch Manager Based out of Edmonton Kate manages KnowledgeTech’s Alberta Branch. She has over 30 years of business management and information technology experience. Prior to joining KnowledgeTech Kate was Vice President for Sierra Systems in Alberta, and before that the Edmonton Branch Manager. She has deep consulting experience with specialization in the Public sector.
	Stewart Jack Victoria Branch Manager Stewart manages KnowledgeTech’s Victoria Branch, assists with business development and provides strategic advice as the firm continues its growth in Western Canada. He was most recently the Western Regional Manager and before that Victoria Branch Manager and Justice Practice Director for Sierra Systems Consultants. Stewart has deep consulting experience in many industries, with a specialization in Justice and Health.
	Nick Edmonds Executive Director, Microsoft Solutions Nick is responsible for the Microsoft Solutions Practice. In this capacity, he is responsible for developing business, delivering solutions, and for developing KnowledgeTech’s capabilities with current and emerging Microsoft technologies across the company. He is also responsible for managing our partnership relationship with Microsoft. Prior to joining KnowledgeTech, Nick spent 15 years at Microsoft Canada where he held a variety of senior leadership roles within Microsoft Services.
	Peter Durrant Executive Director, Health & Government Social Policy Programs Peter manages KnowledgeTech’s Health & Government Social Policy business across the company. Peter is located in the Victoria office, assists with business development and provides strategic advice as the firm continues its growth in Western Canada. He was most recently the Executive Director eHealth Program in the BC Ministry of Health. Prior to that he was Associate Partner IBM Business Consulting Services, Alliance Executive Western Region Canada Health Infoway and Executive Director Medical Services Plan and Executive Director Information Technology Services BC Ministry of Health.
	David Crouch Director, Resourcing David has over 25 years of experience in the IT consulting industry. He has considerable experience in customer and people management. As a consultant, he focused on IT strategy, application development, and change management with significant experience in utilities, banking, securities, and government. Previously, David was founder and CEO of TAP Solutions. He established TAP as a significant consulting firm, and helped guide them into the software products company they are today. David is actively involved in recruiting and resourcing for KnowledgeTech’s customer opportunities.
	Paul Elkington Director, Sales and Marketing Paul has over 25 years of experience in information technology and finance. He has significant experience in healthcare, utilities, mining, manufacturing, and government. Prior to joining KTC, Paul was a partner at Sierra Systems Group Inc., where he was responsible for helping customers establish strategic business objectives and implement technology solutions. Before that he was a Senior Account Manager at Oracle Corporation responsible for enterprise solutions. Paul is actively involved in the marketing and delivery of solutions to KnowledgeTech customers.
	Grant Gisel Director Grant assists with business development and provides advice to KnowledgeTech as the firm continues its growth in Western Canada, and further establishes its strong position as a leading provider of management and information technology consulting services. Grant is the former President and CEO of Sierra Systems and past Director of the Vancouver Board of Trade. He remains very active in the local information technology community.
